Die präzise steuerbare und fahrbare Optik ist mit einem hochauflösenden CCD-Mikroskop (Durchlicht, Phasenkontrast und Fluoreszenz) ausgerüstet. Sie nimmt nach entsprechender Zeitvorgabe Bilder von jedem frei wählbaren Punkt (Point-of-Interest, POI) der Zellkultur auf, die von der Software gespeichert und am PC online ausgewertet und gespeichert werden. Das automatisierte Zellkultursystem PANsys3000 ist ein nahezu universell einsetzbares Werkzeug für die effiziente Zellkultur. In verschiedenen Testreihen konnte die Eignung des Systems für die Kultivierung einer Vielzahl von Zellen und Zelllinien nachgewiesen werden.
